320GHz倒置悬置微带线过渡结构设计

【摘要】 本文设计了一种中心频率在320GHz的倒置悬置微带线过渡结构。采用E面探针实现波导与悬置微带的场耦合,倒置的悬置微带线与单片的信号pad相连,避免了金丝键合在太赫兹频段存在的高损耗问题。最终仿真结果表明在280-360GHz范围内回波损耗优于20dB,插入损耗低于0.35dB;背靠背过渡结构回波损耗优于17dB,插入损耗低于0.88dB。该过渡结构具有可靠性高、宽频带、低损耗的特点,可广泛应用于毫米波及太赫兹电路的封装设计。

【Abstract】 In this paper, a flip-suspended-microstrip transition structure with a central frequency of 320GHz is proposed. The E-plane probe is used to realize the transition between waveguide and suspended-microstrip. The flip-suspended-microstrip is connected with the signal pad of the chip,which avoiding the high loss problem of gold wire bonding in the terahertz band. The final simulation results show that the return loss is better than 20dB and the insertion loss is less than 0.35dB from 280GHz to 360GHz. In the back-to-back configuration, the return loss is better than 17dB and the insertion loss is less than 0.88dB from 280GHz to 360GHz. The transition structure has the characteristics of high reliability, wide frequency band and low loss, which can be widely used in the packaging design of millimeter wave and terahertz circuits.
