液层蒸发诱发的微型Marangoni对流涡胞实验研究

【摘要】 实验研究了矩形液池中薄液层蒸发诱发的Marangoni对流失稳现象,发现了液层蒸发诱发的微型Bénard-Marangoni(BM)涡胞。微型BM涡胞漂浮在液层表面,它跟随热毛细对流从侧壁较高温度区域向液层中部温度较低区域运动,涡胞表面的滞止点向其运动相反方向偏离。实验测量了微型涡胞的穿透深度,确定了产生微型涡胞的临界水平Marangoni数,并对其机制进行了仔细分析。
【Abstract】 The Marangoni convective instabilities in evaporating liquid layers were investigated by using a rectangular pool and the mini Bénard-Marangoni cells was found.The results showed that the mini cells appeared only on the upper portion of liquid layer,and it attached to the thermocapillary convection moving from the high-temperature sidewall to the middle lowtemperature region of the liquid layer,and the stagnation point of cell deviated in the opposite direction of its motion.The penetration depth of the mini cells was measured,the critical horizontal Marangoni number for the incipience of the mini cells were determined and the mechanisms were analyzed carefully.
