ZnO纳米颗粒表面浸润性调控及其Pickering乳液相变规律

【摘要】 Pickering乳液的类型与相转变行为是其稳定性和实际应用的重要因素。本工作以纳米氧化锌为样品,研究了无机纳米颗粒表面浸润性对其稳定的Pickering乳液的类型与相转变行为的影响规律。建立了月桂酸化学改性氧化锌的简单制备方法,通过将月桂酸和氧化锌的质量比在1:400~1:13范围内进行调节,可获得从完全亲水到完全疏水、具有典型浸润性的氧化锌纳米颗粒,进一步研究了不同浸润性纳米氧化锌稳定的Pickering乳液制备规律。结果表明,在月桂酸与氧化锌质量比在1:400~1:130进行改性的氧化锌制备的Pickering水包油乳液稳定性明显高于未改性氧化锌稳定的乳液;月桂酸与氧化锌质量比大于1:20时,纳米颗粒疏水性过强而而无法稳定Pickering乳液。月桂酸与氧化锌质量比的1:100~1:60条件下,Pickering乳液的类型和相转化行为受油水比控制,且月桂酸的质量越高,发生相转化所需油相体积越小。
【Abstract】 The type and phase conversion behavior of pickering emulsions are important factors affecting their stability and practical applications. This work explored the influence of surface wettability of inorganic nanoparticles on the type and phase inversion behavior of Pickering emulsion, using lauric acid modified ZnO nanoparticles as a case study. By adjusting the mass ratio of lauric acid to ZnO in the range of 1:400 to 1:13, ZnO nanoparticles with varying wettability from completely hydrophilic to completely hydrophobic were obtained, and their Pickering emulsifying properties were investigated. The results showed that the stability of the oil-in-water Pickering emulsions stabilized by ZnO slightly modified with lauric acid(mass ratio: 1:400~1:130) was obviously higher than that stabilized by unmodified ZnO. When the mass ratio exceeded 1:20, the nanoparticles were too hydrophobic to stabilize Pickering emulsion. The type and phase conversion behavior of Pickering emulsion were controlled by the oil fraction in the case of mass ratio being 1:100~1:60. Under these conditions, increasing the amount of lauric acid would lead to the decreased the oil fraction required for phase inversion.
