富勒醇-表面活性剂静电自组装构筑荧光有序聚集体

【摘要】 原始的富勒烯C60在甲苯溶液中其荧光寿命为1.2ns,荧光量子产率仅为0.0003,所以其几乎是不发光的[1]。富勒烯C60的功能化被认为是增强其荧光性质的有效方法[2,3]。富勒醇,作为富勒烯C60的多加成产物,其荧光性质和自组装行为并没有被人们所重视。本文系统地研究了富勒醇的荧光性质,并将带负电的富勒醇与阳离子表面活性剂十四烷基咪唑溴盐(C14mimBr)或者十四烷基三甲基溴化铵(TTAB)静电相互作用构筑了荧光有序聚集体。随着表面活性剂浓度的增加,聚集体实现了由荧光囊泡到三维蜂窝结构的转变。聚集体转变的机理可以通过测量Zeta电位得到解释。此外,聚集体的形成使得荧光强度发生了明显的增强,成功实现了聚集诱导荧光增强。荧光超分子结构的构筑为富勒醇在药物运输、光电器件等方面的应用提供了可能。
【Abstract】 Pristine fullerene C60 show poor luminescence properties with short fluorescence lifetimes(1.2 ns) and low fluorescence quantum yields 0.0003 in toluene[1]. Selective functionalization of C60 has proven to be an effective method to fine tune its photoluminescence[2,3]. As the added product of fullerene C60, fluorescence properties and self-assembly of fullerenol has not been well studied. In this study, the fluorescence properties of fullerenols have been investigated in detail. Fluorescent ordered aggregates formed by ionic complexation with cationic surfactants, such as 1-tetradecyl-3-methylimidazoliumbromide(C14 mimBr) and tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide(TTAB). A transition of aggregates from highly ordered vesicles to honeycomb structured crystals was induced by increasing the concentration of the surfactant. The formation of aggregates could be explained by zeta potential. The PL properties of fullerenols have been greatly improved through self-assembly. The successful preparation of photoluminescent supramolecular structures provides a possibility for their application in drug-delivery systems and optoelectronics.
