丝氨酸类相选择性有机凝胶及其在净化含油水体中的应用

【摘要】 随着含油污水排放和海洋石油污染的不断增加,环境和生态系统正在遭受不可逆转的破坏。水油分离与回收一直是一个重大的挑战。从小分子有机凝胶(LMOGs)衍生得到的相选择性有机凝胶(PSOGs),可以在油水两相体系中选择性地使油脂凝胶化,有利于将其方便地收集和回收。但在实际应用过程中,凝胶选择性差、凝胶时间长、回收性能差等问题是发展新型的高效油凝胶因子试剂的巨大挑战。为了解决这个问题,本文设计了一系列Fmoc-氨基酸衍生物并研究了其对一系列石油产品的凝胶化作用。其中基于不同取代基的Fmoc-氨基酸衍生物展现出了不同的组装性能,我们对几种组装体的形成机理及分子堆积模式进行了研究。此外,丝氨酸基凝胶因子对水体中的油品展现出了良好的选择性凝胶性能。于是,我们对该凝胶体系中的溶剂体系、油品类型、临界成胶浓度、成胶时间、以及无机盐溶液的影响进行了探索。对丝氨酸基凝胶因子的进一步研究表明,凝胶因子的成胶能力与分子结构之间存在着一定的构效关系。成胶时间、力学强度等均展现出了对烷基链长度的依赖性。凝胶油的收集和回收是实际应用的另一个重要因素,凝胶可以被酸解或热解的这一性质对实际溢油情况中处理油的回收提供了可能性。这类凝胶因子在处理海上溢油和日常工业生活所产生的含油废水等方面具有潜在的应用价值。

【Abstract】 With the continuous increase of oil-containing water discharge and marine oil pollution, the environment and ecological system are suffering irreversible damage. Separation and recovery of water and oil biphasic systems has always been a major challenge. PSOGs, derived from LMOGs, can selectively gelate oil in the oil-water biphasic system, which are easy to be collected and recovered. However, in the practical application, problems such as poor selectivity, long gelation time and poor recovery performance are the great challenges in developing new high efficiency gelators. To solve this problem, we have designed a series of Fmoc-amino acid derivatives and studied their gelation abilities on a series of petroleum products. Among them, the Fmoc-amino acid derivatives with different substituents exhibit different assembly properties, so we have investigated the formation mechanism and molecular arrangement modes of these three kinds of assemblies. In addition, serine-based gelators show good selectivity for gelling oil in water. We have explored the influence of solvent system, oil type, critical gelator concentration, gelation time and inorganic salt solution in the gel system. Further studies on the variation of serine-based gelators demonstrate a considerable structure-function relationship between oil gelation performance and the molecular structure. The gelation time and mechanical strength both showed the dependence on the alkyl chain length. The ability of removal and recovery of treated oil is an important factor for practical application of gelators, and the fact that gels could be hydrolyzed by acid or pyrolysis provides the possibility for the recovery of the treated oil in actual oil spill. These gels exhibit potential applications in an effective treatment of marine oil spills and oily wastewater from daily life and industry.
