Synergy of electrolyte and electrode for battery performance enhancement

【摘要】 <正>Alkaline-ion batteries are strongly dependent on the development of anodes with high safety and good electrochemical performance.Here,we explored the synergistic effect of anode materials and glyme-based electrolytes on the battery performance.It was revealed that,in combination with the glyme-based electrolytes,the solid-electrolyte interface is very thin and robust during cycles.The hydrophilic property of this kind of electrolytes enables full wettability and penetration of anodes.Particularly,the electrolyte favors formation of a porous integrity of bulk Bi to largely enhance the kinetics of Na storage upon the repeated sodiation and desodiation.
