小蜜蜂的采集蜂遇危险引起停止信号

【摘要】 蜜蜂通过舞蹈传递食物源、筑巢位置的信息,这是一种高效的激活信号。与激活信号相对应的是一种能让蜜蜂舞蹈停止的抑制信号-停止信号,已经发现东、西方蜜蜂遇危险后都会产生停止信号来减少招募。与营穴居的东、西方蜜蜂不同,小蜜蜂营露天生活,对于露天生活的蜜蜂遇危险后是否也会产生停止信号目前尚无报道。本研究以生活在云南省西双版纳州纳版河国家自然保护区内的小蜜蜂为实验材料,用饲喂器训练的方法招募三群小蜜蜂的采集蜂到饲喂器采集,当采集稳定后对小蜂蜜进行颜色标记,然后用镊子、黄金蚁和凹纹胡蜂模拟捕食危险,记录被攻击前后的小蜜蜂回巢内的反应。结果显示,小蜜蜂被三种危险刺激后,回巢内都会通过发出停止信号来警告巢内同伴有采集危险。

【Abstract】 Honey bee use waggle dancing to communicate information of food resource or nest site with nestmates,which is an high-efficiency way.Nevertheless,there is also have evolved an inhibitory signal,the stop signal,which can be elicited by peril to reduce recruitment to a dangerous location both in Apis mellifera and Apis cerana.The open-nesting species,Apis florea,which is different from the cavity-nesting species,Apis mellifera and Apis cerana.However,there is no evidence that Apis florea can elicited stop signal by peril.This research focus on Apis florea that lived in Xishuangbanna Nabanhe national nature reserve zone in Yunnan province.We trained Apis florea foragers from three colony,training these bees collect sucrose solution on feeder,all bees were marked when they became stabilized.We attack marked bees by forceps,wave ant and Vespa velutina,then recorded the within-nest behavior of focal foragers on return trips before and after attack.We show that one species of honey bee,Apis florea,has also evolved an alarm signal,the stop signal,which warns nestmates of this danger.
