不同流速下冰融化率的实验室探究
A laboratory study of iceberg melting under distinct flow velocity

【摘要】 在实验室条件下,通过对冰的融化过程进行测量和分析,探究不同流速对冰侧向融化和底面融化的影响。利用实验室循环流水槽,改变流速大小,通过图像法记录冰的侧面和底面的面积变化,并且测量冰的质量来反映冰的融化情况。结果表明,背景流的流速对融化的影响存在明显差异,高流速下底面比侧面融化更快,且底面对流速的反应更灵敏,侧面则在高流速区间内随流速增加而加速融化。作者认为产生这种差异的原因是融水羽流在不同流速下流动性质的差异:低流速下以羽流形式附着,高流速下以涡旋结构分离脱落,加速混合。此实验对于分析冰在不同流速下的融化有初步认识,并能够为冰-海模式参数化方案提供一定参考价值。
【Abstract】 In this paper the effects of distinct flow velocity on ice side and bottom are explored by experiment in the laboratory.Using the laboratory circulating water tank,transform the flow velocity,record the area change of ice side and bottom of by image method,and measure the mass of the ice to reflect the melting state of ice.The result indicates the influence of the velocity of background flow on the melting is discrepant.The melting speed of the ice bottom is faster than that of the ice side at high velocity,and the response of the bottom surface to the velocity is more sensitive.The melting speed of the side surface increases with the increase of the velocity in the high velocity range.The reason is that the melt plume adheres in the form of plume at low flow velocity,and separates in the form of vortex structure at high flow velocity to accelerate mixing.This experiment has a preliminary understanding for analysis of ice melting at different velocities,and provides a certain reference for the parameterization scheme of ice-sea model.
