【Abstract】 Neuroticism, as a personality trait, is characterized by its difficulty in balancing negative emotions such as anxiety, hostility, depression, self-awareness, impulsiveness and fragility, which means it does not have the ability to maintain emotional stability. Highly neurotic individuals show stronger emotional response, worse emotional perception and coping ability, thus experiencing more negative emotions, which is easy to form a series of mental disorders and physical diseases. With the development of "fast culture", college students are faced with great pressure of life, study and employment, and deal with explosive growth information every day. Neuroticism index keeps rising. The stage of college students is a turning point from the campus to the society and a critical period of career development. How to improve the career decision-making self-efficacy and career adaptability of college students is a key step to help college students successfully transition to their career. However, the career education of college students in our country is generally not perfect, so the related behaviors of parents play a vital role. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of parents’ career-related behaviors and career decision-making self-efficacy in neuroticism and career adaptability of college students. Data were collected from 2119 college students with Big Five Personality Scale, Parents’ Career-related Behavior Scale, Career Adaptability Scale and Career Decision-making Self-efficacy Scale, and SPSS22.0 and Amos21.0 were used as statistical tools. After examination, there is no obvious common method deviation in this study, and the fitting index of the structural equation model is good. Results: Neuroticism Significantly Negative Predicts College Students’ Career Adaptability; Career decision-making self-efficacy plays a partial mediating role in the influence of neuroticism on college students’ career adaptability. Parental career-related behaviors moderate the second half of the mediating process of neuroticism influencing college students’ career adaptability through career decision-making self-efficacy. Conclusion: Neuroticism can affect college students’ career adaptability through career self-efficacy, and this effect is regulated by parents’ career-related behaviors.
