基于连续波种子源的光纤激光器的设计研究

【摘要】 光纤激光器在光通信领域中具有广泛的应用。光纤激光器是指用掺杂了稀土元素的光纤作为激光增益介质的激光器。文中对光纤激光器的结构进行了研究,分析了传统激光器的特点,设计了连续波种子源的光纤激光器。光纤激光器在结构上可以由3部分组成:1)由能产生光子的增益介质,这是激光器的核心部分,使光子得到不断的加强,并在谐振腔中反复经过增益介质,从而得到不断放大;2)提供能量的激励源,其中激励的作用,就是使激光增益介质(激光增益介质只有吸收了从外界传递来的能量,才能不断加强光的强度)中的粒子从外界吸收能量后,能够被激发到原子的高能级上面去,以实现粒子数反转,进而产生放大作用;3)一个谐振腔,用来维持光在激光腔体内来回振荡,形成激光输出。

【Abstract】 Fiber lasers are widely used in the field of optical communication.Fiber laser refers to the laser using the fiber doped with rare earth elements as the laser gain medium.The structure of fiber laser was studied,the characteristics of traditional laser were analyzed,and the fiber laser with continuous wave seed source was designed in this paper.Fiber laser is composed of three parts in the structure,one is the gain medium that can generate photons,which is the core part of the laser,so that photons are constantly strengthened,and repeatedly through the gain medium in the resonator cavity,so as to get constant amplification.Secondly,there should be a source of excitation to provide energy.The role of excitation is to make the particles in the laser gain medium.Only by absorbing the energy transmitted from the outside,can the laser gain medium continuously enhance the intensity of the light.After absorbing energy from the outside world,particles are excited to the high energy level of the atom,so as to realize the inversion of particle number and generate amplification effect.Finally,there should be a resonator to keep the light oscillating back and forth in the laser cavity,forming the laser output.
