红外非线性晶体BaGa4Se7及其OPO/OPA性能研究进展

【摘要】 本文主要介绍红外非线性晶体BaGa4Se7的基本结构、物理性质、非线性效应相关参数大小及其在光参量振荡和光参量放大方面的研究进展。该晶体非线性系数较大(d11和d13分别为24.3pm/V、-20.6pm/V)、透光范围宽(0.47-18μm)、激光损伤阈值较高(557MW/cm2@1.064μm/5ns/1Hz)、双折射系数适中(0.07@1.064μm),且具有一致熔融的特点,通过Bridgman-Stockbarger法可生长出大口径的单晶棒,因此是一种具有广阔应用前景的新型红外非线性晶体。目前,已经有多个研究机构开展了BaGa4Se7-OPO/OPA理论与实验研究。

【Abstract】 The research progress review focused on infrared nonlinear crystal BaGa4 Se7,including its basic structure,physical property,parameter values of nonlinear effects and optical parametric oscillator/amplifier(OPO/OPA) performance,will be shown and discussed in this article.The BaGa4Se7 crystal has many advantages such as large nonlinear index(the values of d11 and d13 are 24.3 pm/V and-20.6 pm/V),wide transparent range(0.47-18μm),high laser induced damage threshold(557 MW/cm2@1.064μm)/5 ns/1 Hz) and modest birefractive index(0.07@1.064μm).Moreover,owing to its characteristic of congruent melting,high quality and large aperture single crystal bulk could be grown via the Bridgman-Stockbarger method.Aforementioned excellent properties indicate that BaGa4Se7 crystal could be widely applied in the infrared nonlinear frequency conversion technology.Up to date several scientific research institutions have been carrying out the theoretical and experimental investigation on BaGa4Se7-OPO/OPA performance.
