【摘要】 作为CSNS首批建设的三套谱仪之一,小角中子散射谱仪(SANS)用于探测物质体系在1~100nm尺度内的微观和介观结构。测得特定样品的小角中子散射矢量Q后,通过数据分析获得其中所包含的样品颗粒形状、大小和密度等结构信息。SANS主探测器要求探测面积大、对热中子探测效率高、有良好的空间分辨能力以及要工作在真空环境下。经过综合考虑SANS主探测器决定采用120只8mm直径位置灵敏~3He管,组成有效面积1000mm(X)×1020mm(Y)的二维阵列探测器。信号读出采用了CSNS自主研发的电子学与数据读出系统,将位置灵敏~3He管分成10个独立模块读出。机械结构上采用适用于真空环境的密闭式设计。SANS主探测器从设计、选型、样机、调试到安装历时三年,是国内首台自主研制的小角中子散射谱仪中子探测器。经谱仪现场调试结果显示探测器噪声水平低,配合谱仪完成了国家验收的首期标样实验,同时在实验束线上进行了探测器关性能指标测试,结果显示探测器探测效率为(81±2)%(@2?),沿丝方向空间分辨率为9.2±0.1mm (FWHM),完全满足谱仪探测器的设计要求。

【Abstract】 As one of the three spectrometers in China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS), Small Angle Scattering Spectrometer(SANS) is used to detect microcosmic and mesoscopic structures within 1~100 nm scale of the material system. After measuring the small-angle neutron scattering vector(Q) of the specific sample, structural information such as the shape, size and density of the sample particles contained therein is obtained by data analysis. The SANS main detector requires a large detection area, high efficiency for thermal neutron detection, good spatial resolution, and ability to work in vacuum environment. After comprehensive consideration, 120 8 mm diameter sensitive ~3He tubes were used to form the SANS main detector with an effective two-dimensiona area of 1000 mm(X) × 1020 mm(Y). The signal readout adopts the electronic and data reading system independently developed by CSNS, and the position sensitive ~3He tube is divided into 10 independent modules for reading. A closed design is used in the mechanical structure suitable for vacuum environment.It costs 3 years for the SANS main detector in design, ~3He tube selection, prototype, debugging and installation. It is the first self-developed small angle scattering spectrometer neutron detector in China. The on-site debugging results of the spectrometer show that the noise level of the detector is low, and the first-stage standard sample experiment of the national acceptance is completed with the spectrometer group. At the same time, the key index test of the detector is carried out on the experimental beam line.The test results show that the detection efficiency is(81±2)%(@2?) and the spatial resolution is 9.2±0.1 mm(FWHM)along the wire direction, which fully meets the design requirements.
