中国的翼龙化石综述

【摘要】 中国的翼龙化石共有7属,其中2属为喙嘴龙类,5属为翼手龙类。它们明显可归纳为3个不同演化水平的类群:狭鼻翼龙属和树翼龙属代表长尾的喙嘴龙类,环河翼龙属和东方翼龙属代表早期较原始的翼手龙类,准噶尔翼龙属、湖翼龙属和浙江翼龙属则代表进步的具有联合背椎的翼手龙类。按层位自下而上可划分为4个组合带:中侏罗世狭鼻翼龙组合带、晚侏罗世晚期树翼龙—东方翼龙组合带、早白垩世准噶尔翼龙组合带、晚白垩世早—中期浙江翼龙组合带。辽宁西部树翼龙和东方翼龙化石的发现有力地表明,中华龙鸟和孔子鸟层的时代无疑应为晚侏罗世晚期。

【Abstract】 There are seven pterosaur genera known from China.Their systematics,localities and horizons are as follows:Rhamphorhynchidae Angustinaripterus-Zigong,Sichuan;Xiashaximiao Formation,Middle Jurassic Dendrorhynchoides-Beipiao,Liaoning;Chaomidianzi Formation,Late Jurassic Ctenochasmatidae Huanhepterus-Qingyang,Gansu;Huanhe Formation,Late Jurassic Pterodactylidae Eosipterus-Beipiao,Liaoning;Chaomidianzi Formation,Late Jurassic Dsungaripteridae Dsungaripterus-Urho,Xinjiang;Tugulu Group,Early Cretaceous Noripterus-Urho,Xinjiang;Tugulu Group,Early Cretaceous Azhdarchidae Zhejiangopterus-Linhai,Zhejiang;Tangshang Formation,Late Cretaceous The first four genera are represented only by their holotypes.Based on the main characters,Angustinaripterus and Dendrorhynchoides may be included within Rhamphorhynchoidea,Huanhepterus and Eosipterus within the primitive Pterodactyloidea(i.e.,Ctenochasmatoidea),meanwhile the other three within the advanced Pterodactyloidea(i.e.,Dsungaripteroidea).Four pterosaurian assemblage zones are proposed here according to their horizons:the Middle Jurassic Angustinaripterus Assemblage Zone,the late Late Jurassic Dendrorhynchoides-Eosipterus Assemblage Zone,the Early Cretaceous Dsungaripterus Assemblage Zone,and the early to middle Late Cretaceous Zhejiangopterus Assemblage Zone.They are found together with different vertebrate faunas separately,thus have great significance biostratigraphically and paleobiogeographically.Recendy,Beipiao area in western Liaoning Province has been well known for its abundant vertebrates containing the answer to the origin and early evolution of birds.But the geological age of Sinosauropteryx and Confuciusornis beds are still under dispute.Fortunately,two pterosaurs,Dendrorhynchoides and Eosipterus,were excavated from these deposits.Dendrorhynchoides shows the most similarities to the typical Late Jurassic Rhamphorhynchus,moreover,rhamphorhynchoids have no post-Jurassic record.Eosipterus is morphologically at the same evolutionary level as European Late Jurassic Pterodactylus and Germanodactylus.Therefore,discovery of me pterosaurs in Beipiao area powerfully indicates the beds yielding Sinosauropteryx and Confuciusornis to be me latest Jurassic in age.
