水声网络图像传输不平等差错保护跨层设计
The cross-layer design of unequal error protection for image transmission in underwater acoustic networks

【摘要】 本文提出一种基于跨层设计与不平等差错保护的水声网络渐进式图像传输方法。该方案使用多级树集合分裂算法对图像进行渐进式压缩处理,具有不同重要程度的压缩输出比特流使用具有不平等差错保护特性的喷泉码进行编码。应用层将解码所需参数数据包标记为关键数据包,在MAC层使用逐跳确认与重传的策略加强保护。对大量的重要等级较低的普通数据包采取无确认无重传的传输策略,通过降低水声网络的负载以减少数据包之间的冲突。仿真实验表明,在多跳水声网络中,本方案在接收图像质量、数据包交付率、传输时延等方面都表现出良好的性能。
【Abstract】 A progressive image transmission scheme with cross-layer design and unequal error protection is proposed for underwater acoustic networks in this paper.SPIHT(Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees)is used to realize the progressive image compression processing.The output compressed bit stream with unequal importance is encoded using Fountain code with unequal error protection property.The parameters for decoding are marked as a key data packet in the application layer,and a protection strategy with hop-by-hop acknowledgment and retransmission is adopted for it at the MAC layer.The large number of packets containing the Fountain coded data are marked as normal ones,and are transmitted without acknowledgment and retransmission at the MAC layer in order to decrease the collision among them.The results of the underwater acoustic network simulation show that in multi-hop transmission the received image quality,the packet delivery rate and the transmission delay of the propsed scheme perform very well.
