基于国产THGEM的粒子分布探测器性能测试

【摘要】 为精确测量0.1~50MeV低能脉冲电子束流的位置分布,制作了基于国产THGEM的二维粒子分布探测器。探测器使用60mm*60mmKapton基材高位置分辨国产THGEM以达到50mm*50mm探测灵敏面积,厚GEM的孔径150um,孔间距400um,本征位置分辨可达116um。为减少低能电子散射,采用Mylar薄膜作为透射窗和窄气隙设计。电子学系统采用国内自研的ASIC芯片,并首次应用于工程项目。读出板为200路对称二维条读出设计,条周期为0.56mm,通过电荷重心法获得高位置分辨。放射源和束流测试结果表明,探测器性能良好,初步位置分辨达到83微米。
【Abstract】 In order to measure the accurate position distribution for 0.1 ~ 50 MeV low-energy pulsed electron beam, atwo dimension particle distribution detector based on homemade THGEM was developed. The detector uses 60 mm*60 mm high position resolution homemade THGEM, which with 150 um hole diameter, 400 um pitch, and less than 116 um intrinsic position resolution, to achieve 50 mm*50 mm sensitive area, and 200 um position resolution. To reduce the low energy electron scattering, the Mylar film was chosen as the transmission window and the gas gap in front of the drifting region was minimized. The electronics system adopts the homemade and independent developed ASIC chips, CASAGEM, for the first time applying to engineering projects. The readout pads were designed as two dimension symmetric strip structure with 0.56 mm pitch, 100 channels for X and 100 channels for Y, totally 200 channels. The radioactive source and beam test results show that the detector performance is good, and the position resolution is better than 83 umby using the center of gravity method.
