生物医用器件用Zr55.8Al19.4(Co1-xCux)24.8(x=0-0.8)块体金属玻璃研究

【摘要】 不含有毒元素Zr-Al-Co-Cu系金属玻璃有望用作生物医用器件材料。本文从Zr55.8Al19.4Co24.8三元基础成分出发,探讨了Cu的添加对基础合金的玻璃形成能力(GFA)及相关金属玻璃的热稳定性、室温力学与耐蚀性能等的影响作用,并用普通铜模铸造法制备出Zr55.8Al19.4(Co1-xCux)24.8(x=0-0.8)系列块体金属玻璃(BMGs)。其中,Zr55.8Al19.4Co17.36Cu7.44成分处合金的GFA最优,其形成玻璃的临界直径dmax达12 mm,并且,该金属玻璃具有良好的综合室温力学与耐蚀性能:杨氏模量为89.8 GPa,室温压缩塑性应变达4.0%,断裂强度约2.0 GPa,断裂韧性近120 MPa m1/2;在37℃磷酸盐缓冲液(PBS)中Zr55.8Al19.4Co17.36Cu7.44金属玻璃显示出优良的耐蚀性,其自腐蚀电流密度为5.0×10-9 A/cm2,比同条件下Ti6Al4V合金低一个数量级。这种兼具大GFA与优良物理化学性能的Zr-Al-Co-Cu金属玻璃适合用作生物医用器件材料。
【Abstract】 Toxic element-free Zr-Al-Co-Cu bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) are probable candidates as surgical devices materials.In the present work, the quaternary compositions are produced by taking Zr55.8Al19.4Co24.8 as a basic alloy, and Cu as an alloying element.Then the effect of Cu addition on glass formation,thermal glass stability, mechanical behaviors and corrosion resistance of a series of Zr55.8Al19.4(Co1-xCux)24.8(in at.%, x=0-0.8) bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) prepared by copper mold casting method wereinvestigated.The Zr55.8Al19.4Co17.36Cu7.44 BMG alloy is found to combine a centimeter scale glass formation size(dmax = 12 mm) and with high Young’s modulus(E =89.8 GPa),ultrahigh strength(σy = 2.04 GPa), large room-temperature plasticity(εP=4.0%) and high fracture toughness about 120 MPa m1/2.And the BMG exhibitsgood corrosion resistance in PBS open to air at 37 ℃.The passive current density is 5.0×10-9 A/cm2, which is one order of magnitude lower than Ti6Al4V alloy at same condition.The combination of high GFA and excellent physicochemical properties suggests that the Zr55.8Al19.4Co17.36Cu7.44 BMG can be a promising surgical devices material.
