阴离子Gemini表面活性剂的合成及其与阴离子聚丙烯酰胺相互作用的研究

【摘要】 聚合物和表面活性剂复配使用可以使彼此的性质得到相互改性,因此,充分了解它们之间的相互作用,对提高材料使用性能,完善配方设计理论均具有非常重要的意义。聚丙烯酰胺是一种被广泛应用的、水溶性的聚合物,被人们广泛地应用到石油开采,水处理,纺织,印染,造纸,选矿,洗煤等工业领域。阴离子磺酸盐型Gemini表面活性剂由于其非常低的临界胶束浓度、高的表面活性、特殊的流变性质、多种聚集形态等性质近年来备受关注。[1]因此,研究它们之间的相互作用对实际应用具有重要的理论意义。在本工作里,我们合成了一系列阴离子磺酸盐型Gemini表面活性剂m-s-m(SO32(m=12,8;s=3,6)(Fig.1a),并研究了pH 9.0和25℃时它们与聚丙烯酰胺之间的相互作用。利用表面张力和电导法测试确定了m-s-m(SO32的临界胶束浓度(CMC)(Fig.1b),Table1列出了CMC值及其它物理化学参数。利用表面张力确定了m-s-m(SO32与聚丙烯酰胺之间的临界聚集浓度(C1,C2和CM)(Fig.1c)。SEM电镜测试结果显示,单独聚丙烯酰胺溶液在pH9时,以纤维状形式存在(Fig.2a),单独表面活性剂10CMC时以线性聚集体形式存在(Fig.2b);加入表面活性剂浓度小于C2时,复配体系仍以纤维状聚集体存在(Fig.2(c,d));但是,在表面活性剂浓度大于C2时,复配体系形成三维席子交联和三维网络状交联结构(Fig.2(e,f))。这些数据证实了阴离子磺酸盐型Gemini表面活性剂与阴离子聚丙烯酰胺之间发生了明显的相互作用。

【Abstract】 Mixtures of polymer and surfactant can modify their mutual properties,so the full understanding of the interaction between them is very important to improve the material properties and perfect the formulation design theory.Polyacrylamide,PAM,is a most widely and the highest efficiency of the water soluble organic polymer,widely used in petroleum extraction,water treatment,textile,printing and dyeing,paper making,mineral processing,coal washing and other industrial fields.The novel anionci sulfonate gemini surfactants have attracted much attention in recent years due to their unique properties,such as remarkably low critical micellar concentration(CMC),high surface activity,special rheological properties,multifarious aggregate structures,and so on.Therefore,study on the interaction between them has theoretical significance to the practical application.In this work,a series of anionic sulfonate gemini surfactants have been synthesised,and their interactions with PAM are investigated at 25℃ and pH9.The CMC of surfactants can be determined by surface tension and conductivity(Fig.1(left)).The critical aggregation concentrations of m-s-m(SO32(C1,C2 and CM) for the PAM/m-s-m(SO32 system are determined by surface tension(Fig.1(right)).The SEM results indicate that PAM forms fibrous structured aggregates(Fig.2 a) and m-s-m(SO32 forms linear aggregates(Fig.2 b).Below C2,the PAM/m-s-m(SO32 system also forms fibrous structured aggregates(Fig.2(c,d)),but above C2,the mixed PAM/m-s-m(SO32 aggregates change to networklike cross-linked structured aggregates and mat structured aggregates(Fig.2(e,f)).
