聚醚在煤油-水界面的扩张流变性质
Interfacial dilational properties of polyethers at kerosene/water interface

【摘要】 本文用悬挂滴法研究了一系列聚醚PEG-PPG-PEG在煤油/水界面的扩张流变性能。该系列聚醚的分子量分别为8400(EO/PO=3.28/1),12600(EO/PO=3.45/1)和14600(EO/PO=7.14/1),8400和12600的EO/PO值相似,8400与14600分子中的PO数目相似。从图1可见,聚醚的分子量越高,油水界面张力越低,界面扩张模量越大,更长的聚醚分子链可在界面处形成更强的分子间相互作用。在测试浓度范围内,8400在煤油/水界面处的模量随浓度增大不断降低,而12600和14600在煤油/水界面处的模量随浓度增大而增大,最终达到一个稳定值,说明8400在油水界面处的分子扩散交换作用较强;而12600和14600在高浓度时,聚醚在煤油/水界面处的分子间相互作用的增强与扩散交换作用的增强相当。聚醚的分子量增加或者聚醚分子中的EO数目增加,均能有效提高其界面活性和界面膜的强度。
【Abstract】 In this research,we studied the effects of polyethers(PEG-PPG-PEG) on the dilational properties of kerosene/water interface.The polyethers molecular weight are 8400(EO/PO=3.28/1),12600(EO/PO=3.45/1) and 14600(EO/PO=7.14/1) respectively.The EO/PO values of 8400 and 12600 are parallel,while 8400 has the same PO number with 14600.The experimental results show that the longer molecular chain will lead to higher interfacial activity and higher dilational modulus for kerosene/water interface.The dilational modulus of 12600 and 14600 increased with increasing polyether concentration and then reached equilibrium.On the other hand,the dilational modulus of 8400 at kerosene/water interface decreased with increasing polyether concentration during the experimental concentration range.This demonstrates that the exchange process controls the nature of interfacial layers,which may lead to the interfacial dilational modulus decrease continually with increasing concentration.As to 12600 and 14600,the enhancement of interaction of polyether molecules may be accordant with the exchange process with increasing concentration.For this series of polyethers,the increase of molecular weight or EO number would enhance the interfacial activity and the intensity of interfacial films.
