功能化的咪唑表面活性离子液体在混合溶剂中的聚集行为

【摘要】 分别研究了1-丁基-3-甲基咪唑十二烷基硫酸酯([C4mim][C12H25SO4])在硝基乙胺(EAN)/H2O混合溶剂中和N-十六烷基-N′-羧甲基咪唑溴([N-C16,N′-CO2H-Im]Br)在二甲基亚砜(DMSO)/H2O混合溶剂中的聚集行为。发现[C4mim][C12H25SO4]不仅能够在富水环境下形成六角相、层状相及反双连续立方相等溶致液晶,而且在富EAN条件下、在较大的浓度范围内可以形成超分子凝胶。实现了仅仅通过改变表面活性离子液体的浓度及混合溶剂的组成来调控构筑种类丰富的分子有序聚集体。在[N-C16, N′-CO2H-Im]Br/DMSO/H2O体系中,同样也有凝胶形成,而且随着混合溶剂中DMSO比例的增加,最低成胶浓度也在增加,采用扫描电子显微镜观察到所形成凝胶独特的微米级片层结构形貌;通过小角X射线散射测试及密度泛函理论计算,发现这种片层结构是由交叉双分子单元堆积而成。进一步研究发现,构筑的超分子凝胶还具有双折射性质和极好的机械强度,而且在去除水中的阴离子染料分子方面也展现出了良好的性质。

【Abstract】 Aggregate behaviors of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium dodecylsulfate([C4mim][C12H25SO4]) in water-ethylammonium nitrate(EAN) binary solvent mixtures and N-cetyl-N′-carboxymethyl imidazolium bromide([N-C16, N′-CO2H-Im]Br) in the water-dimethylsulphoxide(DMSO) mixed solvents were investigated systematically. It is found that [C4mim][C12H25SO4] could not only form normal hexagonal, lamellar liquid crystalline, and reverse bicontinuous cubic phases in the water-rich environment, but also fabricate supramolecular gels in EAN-abundant binary media in a broad concentration range. The construction of ordered aggregates can be readily manipulated by adjusting [C4mim][C12H25SO4] concentration and solvent composition. Supramolecular gels were constructed by employing [N-C16, N′-CO2H-Im]Br in the DMSO/H2O mixed solvents. The critical gelation concentration increases for lower DMSO contents in the mixed solvents. The microplatelet stacked morphology of self-assembled gel was obtained by scanning electron microscope observations. Small angle X-ray scattering and density functional theory calculations reflect that the special structures are formed by packing of bilayer units with interdigitated hydrocarbon tails. The gel also possesses strong birefringence property and excellent mechanical strength. In particular, it shows superior performance in removing the anionic dye molecules in aqueous medium.
