直接甲醇燃料电池耐甲醇Co@Pd/C催化剂的研究

【摘要】 电催化剂是直接甲醇燃料电池的关键材料之一,对电池性能,稳定性和寿命有着重要的影响。因此探索低成本、耐甲醇的阴极电催化剂对直接甲醇燃料电池的理论和应用都有重要的价值。采用分步还原法制备了阴极ORR的Cocore-Pdshell/C电催化并与共还原法制得的PdCo/C催化剂进行比较。采用X射线衍射(XRD),高分辨透射电镜(HRTEM)结合能谱(EDS)和旋转圆盘电极(RDE)技术对催化剂进行表征。结果显示Cocore-Pdshell/C催化剂比PdCO/C具有较高的ORR活性和耐甲醇氧化性。由Cocore-Pdshell/C作为阴极催化剂组装的单电池测试电池表现出96 mW/cm2的峰值功率密度,比Pt/C的102 mW/cm2稍低。

【Abstract】 Electro-catalyst is one of the key materials in direct methanol fuel cells and strongly affect the performance,stability and durability of DMFC. Exploring cathodic electro-catalysts with low cost and methanol tolerant has important value both in theory and application for DMFCs. The Pdrich-shellCorich-core/C catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction was prepared by NaBH4 successive-reduction and compared with the co-reduction PdCo/C catalyst. The two catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) incoperated with energy dispersion spectroscope(EDS) and rotating disk electrode(RDE) techniques. The catalysts were alloyed and exhibited higher activity than PdC o/C for oxygen reduction reactions(ORR) and excellent tolerance towards methanol oxidation. The single cell test of DMFCs using the Cocore-Pdshell/C catalyst ascathode catalyst showed a peak power density of 96 mW /cm2 which was a little lower than that of Pt/C of 102 mW /cm2 and exhibited good stability.
