【摘要】 John Donne was a representative of English metaphysical poetry.His frustrated life was full of ethical selections.By analyzing the sphinx factor in Donne’s love poems,we observe his ethical selection from the physical to the spiritual.The perfect union of body and soul constructs his view on love.Donne’s ethical dilemma in religion results in his apostasy from the Catholic Church to the Anglican Church,consequently resulting in his violation of ethical taboo.Loyalty and suspiciousness co-exist in his attitude towards God,which constructs his inconsistent view on religion.更多还原
