五元体积阵低信噪比下目标方位估计
On DOA estimation for five-element volumetric array at low signal-to-noise ratios

【摘要】 针对低信噪比下麦克风五元体积阵对空中目标方位估计性能差的问题,提出一种基于互相关处理的最小方差无失真响应(Minimum Variance Distortionless Response,MVDR)方位估计方法。该方法首先在五元体积阵的接收信号之间做互相关,获得25个互相关输出;其次,对互相关输出中具有相同相位差的输出求平均,获得17个虚拟阵元上的输出信号。最后,对17元虚拟阵列采用MVDR方法估计来波方向。所提方法同时利用互相关处理和求平均处理以抑制噪声,从而提高MVDR方法在低信噪比情况下的目标方位估计性能。利用数值仿真验证了所提方法的有效性。
【Abstract】 To improve the direction of arrival(DOA) estimation performance of the five-element volumetric array, a minimum variance distortionless response(MVDR) method for DOA estimation based on cross-correlation is proposed. Firstly the cross-correlation processing between receiving signals is utilized and 25 outputs are produced. Then among the 25 outputs the ones sharing the same phase shift are averaged, and thus 17 outputs are obtained, which can be considered as the sampled signals of a 17-element virtual array. Finally the MVDR method is applied to the 17-element virtual array to estimate DOAs of targets. The proposed method simultaneously utilizes the cross-correlation processing and the averaging processing to suppress noise, thereby improving the DOA estimation performance of the MVDR method effectively. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
