MIMO声呐浮标低旁瓣波束优化
On low sidelobe beampattern synthesis for MIMO sonobuoy

【摘要】 传统主动声呐浮标通常使用单个阵元发射、均匀圆环阵接收的工作模式,为了获得主瓣较窄且旁瓣较低的波束必须使用大量接收阵元。针对这一问题,提出由稀疏十字阵和均匀圆环阵组成的MIMO声呐结构,其中稀疏十字阵发射正交波形,圆环阵进行接收处理。该方法使用MIMO声纳的发射、接收阵空间卷积效应获得虚拟阵列,并对该虚拟阵进行低旁瓣波束优化,同时保证方位分辨率和稳健性。利用数值仿真证明所提方法可以在阵元个数较少的情况下获得主瓣较窄的低旁瓣波束。
【Abstract】 A sonobuoy usually uses a single transmitting transducer and a circular receiving hydrophone array, which must use a large number of array elements to obtain narrow beams and low sidelobes simultaneously. To address this problem, we propose a multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) sonobuoy configuration, which is composed of a sparse cross array and a dense circular array. The sparse cross array transmits orthogonal waveforms and the dense circular array samples echoes of the target scene. After obtaining the virtual array the low-sidelobe beampattern of the MIMO sonobuoy is synthesized by solving the convex problem, where the beamwidth and the robustness of optimized weights are taken into consideration. Numerical simulations show that the proposed method is able to produce a desired beampattern with low sidelobes and a narrow beamwidth with fewer array elements.
