含芳基硼热塑性酚醛树脂的水热合成及其结构与性能

【摘要】 本研究以羟甲基苯基硼酸和热塑性酚醛树脂(NR)为原料,通过水热法以稳定的B-C键将硼元素引入NR,制备得到一种新型的含芳基硼热塑性酚醛树脂(PBNR)。结果表明,PBNR树脂保留了NR的基本骨架,同时形成了以亚甲基连接的苯基硼酸端基;PBNR中的硼羟基在固化过程中可以与酚羟基或硼羟基发生反应,形成B-O-C或B-O-B结构,保证了树脂良好的热稳定性。例如,PBNR的成炭率高达61.1%,高于NR的53%。此外,在对PR热稳定性要求不高的场合,硼酸酯结构在适当的条件下可以水解或醇解,从而使固化树脂具有可回收利用的可能性。本研究为合成具有良好性能的高分子材料提供了一条有效途径,同时有利于理解含硼酚醛树脂的热裂解机理,为开发具有优异耐热性的酚醛树脂供了理论依据。

【Abstract】 In this study, a novel aryl boron-containing novolac phenolic resin(PBNR) formed between hydroxymethyl phenylboronic acid and novolac resin(NR) by a hydrothermal synthesis strategy has been reported. The synthesized PBNR retains the skeleton structure of NR and grafts the pendant of phenylboronic acid via methylene bridge simultaneously. The remaining boron hydroxyl in PBNR could react with phenolic hydroxyl or boron hydroxyl groups to form B-O-B or B-O-C structures, which ensured the outstanding thermal stability of the resin. For example, the char yield of the PBNR reached 61.1%, and that of NR was 53%. In addition, the borate structures can hydrolysis or alcoholysis under appropriate conditions, so that the cured resin has the possibility of recyclable when the requirement of the thermal stability of PR is not high. This study provides an effective way for the synthesis of polymer with good performance, and is also beneficial to the understanding of the pyrolysis mechanism of boron-containing phenolic resin.
