信道估计误差对极化调制XPD补偿性能影响的研究

【摘要】 在双极化信道下,信道去极化效应交叉极化鉴别度(Cross Polarization Discrimination)XPD会造成极化信号分量功率的交叉泄漏,降低极化调制的误码率性能。为了补偿XPD效应造成的影响,需要对信道状态信息进行估计。研究了信道估计误差对XPD补偿算法性能的影响。建立了估计误差影响下XPD补偿算法的系统模型,并通过计算极化调制的误码率来评估信道估计误差对XPD补偿算法性能的影响。仿真结果表明:信道估计误差的大小会在不同程度上降低补偿算法的性能,这一结论对于选取高精度的信道估计方法来提升系统性能具有指导性的意义。

【Abstract】 In dual-polarized channel,the BER performance of polarization modulation(PM) can be decreased by cross polarization discrimination(XPD) effect which can introduce cross power leakage between two orthogonal components of the states of polarization.Therefore,to compensate the effect of XPD,the knowledge of the channel state information(CSI) is required by channel estimation algorithm.In this paper,we investigate the effect of channel estimation error on the performance of XPD compensation algorithm.First,we build a system model of XPD compensation algorithm in the presence of channel estimation error.Then by calculating the BER of PM to estimate the effect of channel estimation error on the performance of the compensation algorithm.Simulation results reveal that channel estimation error can reduce the performance of the compensation algorithm in different degrees.This conclusion has important guiding significance to improve the system performance by choosing high-precision channel estimation algorithm.
