【Abstract】 This paper discussed the semantic common features and subtle distinction between" yihui(r)"(一会儿) and "yixia"(一下) in the complement position or the adverbial position in a sentence,"yihui(r)"(一会儿) and " yixia"(一下) have the same semantic function of expressing "the less amount of time".While "yihui(r)"(一会儿)has the meaning of "the much short period of time"," yixia"(一下) has the meaning of"the least amount of time" derived from its basic meaning of "the lowest frequency of actions".The semantic common features make them connecting each other but the subtle distinctions make them distinguishing one from another.更多还原
