影响第三方支付新平台成功进入市场的关键因素
Key Factors to Determine the Successful Entry for the New Third-party Payment Platform

【摘要】 平台产业的序贯赢家通吃特征,使得决定平台竞争动力学的因素即新平台成功进入市场的关键因素。运用复杂网络方法构建了第三方支付平台的动态竞争模型,并基于该模型涌现出的动力学行为分析影响新平台成功进入市场的关键因素。数值结果表明:(1)新支付平台在整个用户交易网络上的扩散模式存在失败和成功两种类型,且存在突变现象;(2)影响平台竞争结果的模型参数进入临界区域后,新支付平台的市场份额可能很大也可能很小,对参数取值非常敏感;(3)注册费、交易网络密度、交易网络异质性和新平台初始用户比例是影响新平台成功进入市场的关键因素。研究结果为第三方支付企业制定新平台进入战略提供了理论依据和实践指导。
【Abstract】 Platform industries are of sequel winner-take-all characteristics,which makes those factors determined the platform competition dynamics be also key factors to determine the successful entry of new platforms.In this paper,the complex networks method is applied to construct a dynamic competition model of third-party payment platforms,and the key factors which determine the successful entry of new thirdparty payment platforms are analyzed based on the emergent dynamic behaviors of that model.The numerical results show that there exist success and failure patterns when new payment platform diffuses on the whole user transaction network,and the diffusion pattern exhibits jumping phenomena;Further,when those parameters influenced platform competition outcome goes into critical region,the market share of the new payment platform will become very large or very small,and is sensible to the specific values of the model’s parameters.The key factors to determine the successful entry of new platforms are registering fee,network density,network heterogeneity,and ratio of new platform initial users.Results provide theoretical and practical guidelines to develop effective entry strategies for third-party payment enterprises.
