Rh~I-Catalyzed Enantioselective Hydrogenation of Substituted Acrylic Acids with Sterically Similar β,β-Diaryls

【摘要】 <正>Optically activeβ,β-diarylpropionic acids represent a class of important building blocks for asymmetric synthesis of chiral diarylmethine compounds,which are the structural moieties occurring in many pharmaceuticals and bioactive compounds.1 Although several methods for the preparation ofβ,β-diarylacrylates have been reported,asymmetric hydrogenation ofβ,β-diarylacrylates with molecular H2 is more advantageous.In this respect,Ir1-or Rh1-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of trisubstituted olefins for the formation of diarylmethine stereogenic centers seems feasible.2 However,reactions involving 3,3-diarylacrylates(especially free acids)
