【Abstract】 Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) is an attractive polymeric matrix due to its many favorable properties such as nontoxic and biocompatibility [1]. Ascorbic acid(AA) is a vital water-soluble substance in human bodies. In this article, we reported a flexible poly(dimethylsioxane)-based gold electrode for ascorbic acid detection. Our self-made PDMS-based gold electrode was used to construct an amperometric sensor for AA as shown in Fig 1. Current-time response curves were observed at 0.4 V with subsequent spiking of 0.1 m M AA in 0.1 M HAc-Na Ac(p H 4.5). The linear relationship between catalytic current and concentration was observed in the range of 0.023-7.00 m M and 30-100 m M, with the detection limit of 0.008 m M. This electrode determine ascorbic acid content in commercial vitamin C tablets, we got the concentration of vitamin C per tablet was 0.09817 g. L-1(5 measurements, RSD 1.3%) which was consistent with labeled content(0.1 g L-1).
