化石头骨虚拟3D图像的复原与矫正

【摘要】 对化石标本的内部进行形态学研究往往需要对标本进行实体解剖。然而对于珍稀化石标本来说不允许任何对化石有创伤的解剖。X 射线透视可以使人们可以对化石内部进行无创观察,但对于厚度较大,层次较多的标本,往往会因投影在荧光屏上的重影而影响图像的观察质量。计算机断层扫描成像(CT)技术的发明使得人们能够克服X 射线透视的不足,得到清晰的断层扫描影像。计算机图像处理技术的发展又使人们可以将一系列断层扫描影像复原成虚拟三维立体图像。将这些技术应用到古生物学中便能使人们可以将原先缺损变形的珍稀标本进行虚拟复原矫正、进行任意的虚拟无创解剖,并根据虚拟复原矫正的图形刻制加工出复原矫正的实物模型,因此有很大的应用前景。

【Abstract】 It was necessary to cut specimens if we need to study their interior morphology.Butwhen the specimens are very rare and important,it is impossible to have them cut.The Xray clairvoyance is helpful for noninvasive examination of the interior anatomy of suchspecimens.But when the specimens are thick and the interior morphology is complicated,the multi-overlapping shadows will hinder a clear observation.The invention of computedtomography overcame this defect and it is possible to get a high resolution image of theinterior anatomy of a specimen.The advancement of the computer technology furthered thepossibility of reconstructing three dimensional images based on a series of two dimensionalCT images.The application of this technology to the paleontology and paleoanthropologymakes it possible to carry out noninvasive dissection of rare and important fossil specimens,to virtually reconstruct the lost or remedy the distorted parts of a specimen, and to duplicatea cast of the specimen based on the reconstructed and remedied virtual 3D images.It is ofbrilliant application future.
