基于硬件加速的可视化算法

【摘要】 基于硬件加速的可视化算法是目前人们研究的热点,为了在图像质量与绘制速度上寻求最佳方案开展了大量的研究,提出许多算法。本文首先以NVIDIA公司的GeForce系列图形芯片为例,概括介绍了图形硬件对可视化算法的支持,然后对基于硬件加速的分类算法,明暗处理算法,滤波算法,体积裁剪算法进行综述,这些可视化算法的应用大大提高了绘制图像的精度和显示速度。
【Abstract】 Rendering speed has always been a major problem in volume rendering, in order to make the rendering process genuinely interactive, people exploit the fast rendering capabilities of modem graphics hardware. A spectrum of researches about the optimal combinations of rendering speed Versus image quality has been done and many algorithms have been presented. This paper surveys hardware-accelerated classification algorithms, hardware-accelerated shading algorithms, hardware-accelerated filtering algorithms and hardware-accelerated volume clipping algorithms. The application of these algorithms has greatly improved rendering speed and the quality of the image.
