【Abstract】 Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks have become one of common and effective attacks method against network security today. In this paper we explore the mechanism of DDoS attacks and present the difficulty and key technology of DDoS defenses, then discuss hotpot issue of DDoS attacks, i.e. trackback of attack origin.
