基于XML可配置IP库的构建
Build Configurable IP Database Based on XML

【摘要】 基于IP(知识产权核)的SOC(片上系统)设计通常分为两步。首先,根据设计要求搜索合适的IP。其次,将得到的IP做相应处理,进行IP参数的配置,最后集成到系统中去.然而,IP提供者的设计方法和IP形式描述的多样化,不利于IP的交流与重用。本文中,提出了一种基于XML可配置IP库的构建方法,有效地解决了IP交流和重用的问题,提高了实际操作中IP搜索的效率。
【Abstract】 IP(Intellectual Property) based design in SOC(System On Chip) comprises two main steps. First, a suitable IP has to be found. Second, the IP has to undergo further processing, such as parameters configuration, before it can be included in designs. However, it is very difficult to reuse IP for the difference of the tools and the description in IP designs. In this paper, we present a general method for building a XML based IP warehouse. We defined a description language for IP storage based on XML, and build a unified platform. It can be used to search for and exchange IPs for SOC designers and the IP providers.
