Preschoolers’ Relationships with Parents and Teachers: Linkages to School Adjustment

【摘要】 <正> Based on a sample of 109 preschool children aged 2 to 3 and their parents and teachers, the present study examinedparent-child and teacher-child relationships in relation to these children’s school adjustment. Measures were obtained from thechildren’s mothers, fathers, and teachers’ reports. The results showed that parent-child relationship was a stronger predictor ofchild school adjustment than teacher-child relationship. Teacher-child relationship, on the other hand, served to moderate theassociation between parent-child relationship and children’s school adjustment in that a closer teacher-child relationship
