阻醇质子导电聚合物膜

【摘要】 以直接甲醇燃料电池为应用目标,制备了聚乙烯醇与聚苯乙烯磺酸共混膜。研究了膜组成、热处理温度、甲醇水溶液浓度等对膜电导率和甲醇透过率的影响。一种聚苯乙烯磺酸含量为17%的膜电导率σ达到 3×10-3S/cm,而甲醇透过率 p为2×10-8cm2/sec。如果以(σ/ P)为综合指标,则结果是此膜的综合性能比NafionTM膜高约40倍。
【Abstract】 A successful membrane for direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) must not only conduct protons, but also prevent methanol crossover. With such an aim, membranes of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-blend-polystyrene sulfonic acid (PSSA) were prepared. The effects of curing temperature, methanol concentration and membrane composition on the ionic conductivity and the methanol permeability of the membranes were investigated. A membrane with 17% PSSA showed ionic conductivity σ of 3×10-3S/cm and methanol permeability P of 2×10-8cm2/sec. The membrane would perform about 40 times better than Nafion?membrane, if the ratio (σ/P) is adopted to characterize the performance of a membrane for DMFC.
