采用0.35μm BiCMOS工艺的1.25Gbps激光驱动器研究

【摘要】 本文中介绍了一种速率为1.25Gbit/s 的激光二极管驱动器的设计。为了保持工作中的稳定平均输出功率和恒定消光比,采用了温度补偿电路和自动功率控制电路。介绍了调制主通道的结构和其他功能模块的结构和实现原理,并介绍了部分电路和仿真结果。芯片采用0.35μm BiCMOS 工艺实现.实测结果表明在+3.3V 供电电压,1.25Gbit/s 速率下,电路输出眼图清晰,可以提供5~85mA 调制电流。可以满足光纤通信系统和快速以太网的应用。
【Abstract】 The design process of a laser diode driver IC is proposed in this paper.Which can work on 1.25Gbit/s.To maintain the constant average optical power and extiction ratio,the temperature compensation loop and automatic power control loop are incorporated in this chip.The congfiguration of the main modulation channel and theory of some function modules are presented.Some schematics and simulation results are also involved in this paper.The chip was implemented in 0.35μm BiCMOS process.According to the test results,under +3.3V power supply and 1.25Gbit/s,the output diagram is clear,which can offer modulation current range from 5 to 85mA.It can satisfy the applications of optical communication system and fast Ethemet.
