一种JPEG2000块编码加速模型
A High Speed Model for Block Coding of JPEG2000

【摘要】 优化截取嵌入块编码算法EBICOT(Embedded Block Coding、with Optimized Truncation)是新一代静止图像压缩标准JPEG2000的核心编码算法,该算法使码流具有许多优良的特性如渐进编解码、质量和分辨率渐进,但是该算法有着更高的复杂度、编解码时间长,制约了JPEG2000标准的广泛推广。本文在充分研究EBCOT算法基础上,提出了一种加速模型;实验分析表明该模型比原来算法节约了编解码时间。
【Abstract】 EBCOT (Embedded Block Coding with Optimized Truncation) is the key coding algorithm of JPEG2000. This algorithm consists of two tiles: block coding and rate_distortion optimization, and contains high complexity computation and occupy more half of the computation time of the whole compression process. This becomes the bottleneck of JPEG2000. A high speed model is proposed to improve the coding speed of JPEG2000. The analysis shows that the proposed model can reduce the coding time of JPEG2000.
