华南前汛期的锋面降水和夏季风降水的空间分布特征
Spatial Patterns of Frontal Rainfall and Summer Monsoon Rainfall during Pre-rainy Season in South China

【摘要】 利用中国730站降水资料和第I部分得到的华南前汛期锋面降水和季风降水的划分日期,计算出1958-2000年华南前汛期锋面降水量(强度)和季风降水量(强度)的序列,采用EOF和扩展EOF分析方法,得到华南前汛期降水的几个主要分布型,并探讨锋面降水与季风降水的可能联系。分析结果表明:华南前汛期的锋面降水和季风降水分布主要有三种类型——全区旱涝型、西南涝(旱)东北旱(涝)型、东南涝(旱)西北旱(涝)型;各分布型的时间系数与850hPa风场的相关结果表明不同的分布对应着不同的低层环流形势。统计结果显示出华南前汛期锋面降水的分布形式与季风降水的分布形式有一定的对应关系。
【Abstract】 Following the Part I, spatial patterns of frontal rainfall and summer monsoon rainfall during pre-rainy season in South China were explored in this paper. In order to reveal the spatial patterns, the data of 730 surface stations of China and the start dates of summer monsoon rainfall in South China determined by part I are used to compute the precipitation (strength) of frontal rainfall and summer monsoon rainfall during pre-rainy season and obtain their time series. The main spatial patterns are found and the relationship between frontal rainfall and summer monsoon rainfall is explored by EOF (Empirical Orthogonal Function) analysis and extended EOF (EEOF) analysis. The results indicate that frontal rainfall and summer monsoon rainfall during pre-rainy season in South China have three important spatial patterns, including below normal (above normal) in the whole region, above normal (below normal) in the southwestern region and below normal (above normal) in the northeastern region, above normal (below normal) in the southeastern region and below normal (above normal) in the northwestern region. Through analyzing the relations between the spatial patterns and 850 hPa winds, the leading pattern of frontal rainfall corresponds to southwesterly (northeasterly) north to South China and northeasterly (southwesterly) south to South China, while the leading pattern of monsoon rainfall corresponds to southwesterly (northeasterly) in South China that represent summer monsoon strength. Relations between second and third patterns of frontal and monsoon rainfall and lower tropospheric winds indicate to some extent that different area front and monsoon control forms different pattern. The distributions of frontal rainfall correspond well to that of summer monsoon rainfall during pre-rainy season in South China.
