【Abstract】 The paper introduces the geographic characters of rural distribution network and development process of informatization management, briefly, analyzes the reasons why the DMS, MIS etc can not meet the requirements of informatization management, presents the idea of distribution network informatization platform constitution based on GIS, and shows the basic frame and functions.
