【Abstract】 The ninhydrin as a latent fingerprint reagent has be developed well .it is an important method that has been widely used among the criminal science and technology operators. There are many formulations of the ninhydrin reagent to prepare .we bring four typical formulations at home and abroad into comparison. And we can tell good from bad by comparison, then find out the discipline of the ninhydrin as a latent fingerprint reagent. During the procedures, we can make the conclusions as following: it is easier to prepare the domestic ninhydrin formulation .but it will contaminate the sample with poorer result. Especially for the latent fingerprint on the brown paper ; Overseas formulation is better than domestic formulation in the field of developing some kinds of papers, besides brown papers. But it is fussy to prepare for the formulation because of it’s complicated procedures. Further more, the reagent of overseas formulation is flammable. And it’s hard to conserve.更多还原
