【Abstract】 The tin oxide nanocrystals with different morphology were prepared by refluxing ethandiol solution of SnC2O4. The effects of reactant concentration and the rate of heating etc on the morphology of SnO2 nanocrystals are investigated. The aspect ratio of tin oxide nanorods increases from 4 to 40 with increasing concentration of SnC2O4 from 7mg/mL to 10mg/mL. The shape of tin oxide nanocrystals is changed from rod-like to spherical form with increasing rate of heating. This phenomenon may be ascribed to competition between kinetic and thermodynamic factors in preparation. We also try to discuss the effect of ethandiol on morphology of SnO2 nanocrystals in this paper.
