【Abstract】 Rare earth complexes (especially europium and terbium complexes) containing β-diketonate ligands have attracted very much attention, because they show special properties in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), like narrow emission bands and nearly 100% quantum efficiency in theory. The thermal stability of rare earth complexes in high vacuum will affect components of thin films, which determine the OLEDs’ luminescent efficiency directly, so we examine it by means of vacuum evaporation, UV-Vis and other measurements to make clear the relative mechanism.
