【Abstract】 Estriol (E3), 17β-estradiol (E2), 17α-ethynyl-estrodiol (EE2) and estrone (E1) were analyzed by SPE-UPLC-UV system, which enabled dramatic increase in chromatographic performance such as resolution, sensitivity and speed of analysis. This proposed method was applied to study the degradation of different concentration of 17β-estradiol and 17α-ethynyl-estrodiol in water. It was found that within 48 hours about 70% E2 was degraded (with a half-life of about 31-36 h), whereas about 55% EE2 was degraded (with a half-life of about 31-36 h).
