原位聚合制备不饱和聚酯树脂/高岭土纳米复合材料及性能表征
Preparation and Characterization of Unsaturated Polyester Resin /Kaolinite Intercalation Nanocomposites By in situ Polymerization

【Abstract】 Unsaturated polyester resin(UP) /kaolinite intercalation nanocomposites were prepared by in situ polymerization through UP replacing DMSO in kaolinite/ DMSO intercalation usher, which was prepared by sonochemistry technique. The structure of the nanocomposites was characterized by using XRD and FTIR and the flame retardant properties were studied. The results show that the value of d(001) of kaolinite was increased from 0.717nm to 1.12nm and the intercalation radio was 91% when the DMSO molecular had intercalated in kaolinite crystallites. The typical diffraction peak representing the layer structure (d(001)), the typical absorptions at 3651 cm-1, 3017cm-1 and 2930cm-1 ,representing the inner surface hydroxyl and -CH3 in DMSO molecular respectively, disappeared completely on UP/kaolinite nanocomposites indicating that the UP chains had replaced DMSO completely in kaolinite crystallites, and the exfoliated nanocomposites were prepared. The combustion tests show that the nanocomposites have excellent flame redatdant.
