【Abstract】 The advancing and receding of water in the sharp edge of these solids was investigated dynamically by a dynamic contact angle measurement, combining with a high speed CCD camera. The relation between the wettability and the geometry of a surface feature suggested by Gibbs is an effective method for these wetting questions around the edges. Although instinctive wettability of materials is important, the edge angle heavily affects the wetting on the edges.更多还原
