【Abstract】 Filling carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted considerable attention in recent years, for introduction of foreign materials into nanotubes’ hollow cavities may significantly modified their electronic and mechanical properties, as well as alter the properties of the filling materials. Using SWNTs produced with d.c. arc-discharge method as raw materials, Fullerenes, endohedral metallofullerenes, KxC60, organic molecules and I2 were effectively filled into SWNTs via gas diffusion method. The structure, phase transition and chemical reaction of the filled materials had been studied and some properties of the obtained composite materials were characterized.更多还原
