【Abstract】 In our paper, using ammonium metatungstate which was treated by Spay Drying as precursors, the hollow global tungsten carbides (WC) catalysts with meso-porosity were prepared by gas-solid reaction in the atmosphere of CO/CO2. The ultrafine WC was prepared directly from as-prepared WC by high energy ball milling. The powder microelectrode whose WC prepared by ball milling showed better catalytic activity for methanol electrochemical oxidation in acid solution.
