固体激光器斜率效率的精确表达及其应用

【摘要】 本文得到了考虑腔内光强及反转粒子数密度的空间分布以及激光上、下能级组中能级分裂情况下四能级激光器输入输出关系的表达式及斜率效率的表达式,该表达式比以往得到的理论结果相比其精度有较大程度的提高。把该理论结果应用于激活介质受激发射截面的测量中,测得 Nd:Sr5(VO4)3F 晶体在 1065 nm 处的受激发射截面为 5.5×10?19 cm2,新型多功能晶体 Nd3+:GdAl3(BO3)4在 1062 nm 处的受激发射截面为 3.9×10?19 cm2。
【Abstract】 In this paper, the theoretical expressions for the output-input relation and the slope efficiency of a four-level laser are obtained with the spatial distributions of the intracavity beam intensity and the inversion population density and the level splittings within the upper and lower level manifolds being taken into account. These theoretical expressions are much more precise than those obtained before. They are applied to the measurement of the stimulated emission cross section of a gain medium. The stimulated emission cross sections of Nd:Sr5(VO4)3F crystal at 1065 nm wavelength and new multifunctional crystal Nd3+:GdAl3(BO3)4 at 1062 nm wavelength are determined to be 5.5×10?19 cm2 and 3.9×10?19 cm2, respectively.
