【摘要】 本文提出了一种新的数字化半色调技术——拼装式斜向抖动矩阵。受纹理拼装技术的启发,该技术将多个驱散式抖动矩阵经过离散旋转后拼装到一块大矩阵中作为新的抖动矩阵,然后按传统驱散式抖动技术一样使用该矩阵对图像进行半色调计算。该技术既保留了驱散式抖动方法计算简单、细节表现力强等优点,又可显著消除多数 Bayer 驱散式抖动半色调所产生的横竖方向的网格化人工因素。另外,由于这种方法在中间色调上具有半聚类性质,因此在具有明显点增益的打印机上,它有更好的色调再现能力。除了在黑白打印机上的应用外,该方法还可以在喷墨打印机上实现实时色彩再现。更多还原

【Abstract】 A technique called packed rotated dither matrix(PROM) for digital halftoning is introduced in this paper.Inspired by the technique of texture packing,the proposed approach packs several rotated dither matrices into a big matrix(called PROM),and then treats the PROM the same way as a normal dither matrix for halftoning.The new technique generates few contouring effects while maintaining the low computation and high detail rendition capabilities of dispersed-dot halftoning algorithms.In addition, due to its semi-clustering behavior at mid-tones,PROM exhibits an improved tone reproduction behavior on printers with a significant dot gain.Besides its use in black and white printing, PROM can also be applied to in-phase color reproduction on ink-jet printers.更多还原
