电子墨水微胶囊的制备及性能研究

【摘要】 微胶囊电泳显示电子墨水技术(EPID)是实现柔性显示的重要技术之一。电子墨水的微胶囊化,在一定范围内有效改善了电子墨水的稳定性问题。本文以联苯胺黄PY14为显色颗粒,分散蓝BF为背景色染料,四氯乙烯和二甲苯为混合溶剂,聚丁烯琥珀酰氨PIBI为电荷控制剂制备电泳显示液。以明胶-阿拉伯树胶为壁材,采用复凝聚法将电泳显示液微胶囊化,制得颗粒饱满圆滑,壁材透射率高,保存时间长,柔韧性好的电子墨水微胶囊。并制作了对比度高,响应快的电泳显示原理型器件。用密度仪测试,显微镜观察,粒度仪测试粒径分布的方法,研究确定了微胶囊制备过程中影响微胶囊形貌的主要因素。
【Abstract】 Microcapsule electrophoretic image display(EPID) is one of the most important technology for realizing flexible display. Applying microcapsule in the electrophoretic ink, effectively improved the stability of electrophoretic ink in certain scope. This article took benzidine yellow PY14 as displaying particles, solvent blue BF as the background color, tetrachloroethylene and xylene as mixed solvent, polybutene succinyl ammonia PIBI as the electric charge control agent to compose electrophoretic solution system. And took the gelatin - gum arabic as the wall material, encapsulated electrophoretic solution into microcapsules by complex coacervation. The shells of the electrophoretic ink microcapsules are of good smoothness and full, the wall material is highly transparence and flexible, the retention time of the displayed electrophoretic microcapsule is long. And then, manufactured the electrophoretic display prototype with high contrast and quick respond.
